Some call to them, Tweedledum
and Tweedledee,
the twin brothers from Alice
in Wonderland and the subject of the following rhyme:
"Tweedledum and Tweedledee Agreed to have a battle;
For Tweedledum said Tweedledee
Had spoiled his nice new rattle.
Just then flew down a monstrous crow, As black as a tar-barrel;
Which frightened both the heroes so, They quite forgot their quarrel."
This rhyme has significance
today as we deal with out of control oil prices.
Tweedledum (Democrats in Congress) had his rattle
(no new domestic oil exploration),
Tweedledee (Republicans) wanted to battle.
The monstrous crow (Incumbentism - desire to keep
the seat without regard to the electorate)
frightened both of them and they forgot their
quarrel (The gang of 10 and their compromise proposal).
Others call them Dumbos and Jackasses.
This fits also.
Dumbo - too stupid to do the right thing.
Jackass - too stubborn to the right thing.
When you vote for either the dumbo
or the jackass the loser is YOU.
You have the opportunity to
show our nation that your voice will be heard.
Vote your wallet! The choice is yours.
Just say "No MOORE"
